and I hope your fans and our readers worldwide especially in Kenya and Nigeria

ABBEY: I believe so too… thanks.
DEJIMANAIRE: May we get to know you?
ABBEY: Yes, am here for you. My name is
Abbey Natty Kunrunmi. A Nigerian based here in Kenya.
DEJIMANAIRE: How did football start for you?
ABBEY: Well, I will say football started
for me when I was a teenager and am stunned finding myself a full time
footballer. Am happy to have football as my passion and something am living
with.
DEJIMANAIRE: Who are your football legends and/or
inspiration?
ABBEY: I have lots of outstanding
footballers and those who inspire people a lot but out of them all I’ll single
out Samuel Eto’o.
DEJIMANAIRE: What makes a great player?
ABBEY: First, I will say greatness takes a
lot of tasks, therefore for me I’ll say determination, hard work and
discipline.
DEJIMANAIRE:
How did you find yourself in Kenya League?
ABBEY: When you are committed to what you have passion for, you see yourself progressing. I joined a
team in Kenyan Premier League called Muhoroni Youth FC.
DEJIMANAIRE: How many years have you been in the
Kenyan League?
ABBEY: I have been in Kenyan league in
account of a year.
DEJIMANAIRE: What are the challenges in Kenya league
and Africa as a whole?
ABBEY: Africa in general has a lot of
challenges in sport and to talk about football I will say coaches, good pitch,
sporting facilities and the poor treatment of players are the challenges I can
mention for now.
DEJIMANAIRE: What is your joy in Kenya League?
ABBEY: My joy in Kenyan league is the fact
that is recognized by FIFA and it is shown on Super Sports. I feel so happy
when I have any game that will be shown on Super Sport. There, all my football
skill shall be seen.
DEJIMANAIRE: In some major games, how do you handle
pressure?
ABBEY: Well, I thank God always for giving
me the confidence to face my fears in games I play because the pressure is so
high when we have match with team that has more fans… but I close my heart and
play with one heart and in less than 5 minutes I overcome the pressure.
DEJIMANAIRE: What position do you play?
ABBEY: I am a versatile footballer but I am
a central striker.
DEJIMANAIRE: How many clubs have you played for in
Kenya? Mention them.
ABBEY: I have played for Gormahia F.C,
Muhoroni Youth F.C, Western Stima F.C, Ligi Ndogo F.C
DEJIMANAIRE: Which club are you currently playing
for?
ABBEY: I am currently playing for Western
Stima F.C
DEJIMANAIRE: What was the outstanding goal you can
remember?
ABBEY: This was a premier league match
against Sofapaka F.C. I scored a penalty against Kenyan national team goal
keeper, precisely 7pm August 26th 2013.
DEJIMANAIRE: What are your secrets to success in
Kenya league?
ABBEY: Just like I mentioned earlier, the
secret my success are determination, hard work and winning the league title.
DEJIMANAIRE: What football moment can you never
forget?
ABBEY: The moment I can never forget was
my first game that was shown on Super Sport which was Muhoroni Youth F.C VS
Sofapaka F.C when I scored two (2) goals.
DEJIMANAIRE:
How does it feel to hear cheers from supporters?
ABBEY: Hearing supporter cheer towards you
is a great motivation and I feel so encouraged to give in my upmost best in a
match. So, I feel so highly delighted.
DEJIMANAIRE: In my research about you, I observed
you have Award(s) to your credit in soccer. How many Awards have you won and
what are the titles?
ABBEY: I thank God and my fellow team
players, because without my fellow team players I can’t single handedly get to
this spot. I am the Best Player 2013, Charity Cup 2013, Super Sport, DSTV Cup
2013, also the best player of the year 2013 Muhoroni Youth F.C.
DEJIMANAIRE: What can you say are the shortcoming of
a football team ?
ABBEY: Well, for a team to be an effective
team, each player should be at their best and work as a team player aiming
towards a common goal. I am talking based on when a match is to be played.
However, other factors outside the pitch might result to a team downfall.
DEJIMANAIRE:
I really must commend your participation so far I see this is getting more
interesting.
DEJIMANAIRE: If I may ask, do you have any mind or
interest playing in Nigerian league?
ABBEY: Well, I want to say that Nigerian
league is more professional and graded than some African countries, however, I
wouldn’t develop an interest in Nigerian league.
DEJIMANAIRE: How can you compare Kenya league to
Nigeria league?
ABBEY: Well, I can say that Nigeria league
is more interesting than Kenyan league in terms of playing and facilities and
payment, but Kenyan league is good and nice and one can learn fast in Kenya
league and be who you want to be in one’s soccer career.
DEJIMANAIRE: I hope I won’t be going beyond your
capacity now because of these coming questions
DEJIMANAIRE: What can you say about football
administration and player management in Kenya and Nigeria?
ABBEY: Well, I can’t say much about the
administration because I don’t really know much about neither Kenya nor
Nigerian league administration.
DEJIMANAIRE: Given any chance to be a player of
Nigeria Super Eagles, how will you handle your stand and position?
ABBEY: Wow!... that will be my greatest
happiness and dream come through. I will work hard and give all my best when
ever am giving the chance to represent My Country in any competition. Don’t
forget Nigeria is my country and I look to her soccer development, any
slightest opportunity, I’ll put in my super best.
DEJIMANAIRE: What can you say about Nigerian
coaches?
ABBEY: They are good, that’s all I can
say.
DEJIMANAIRE: What is your dream team?
ABBEY: My dream team is Olympique
Marseille F.C in France.
DEJIMANAIRE: Where do you see yourself playing in
sooner future?
ABBEY: I will say most African footballer
has a dream in playing in a place where soccer success prevalence is high. I
will see myself playing in Europe.
DEJIMANAIRE:
Will you trade football for any other sport and why?
ABBEY: Just like I said earlier, I have
been playing soccer since I was a teenager, therefore, I can’t see myself
trading soccer for other sport because it has become part of me.
DEJIMANAIRE: Thanks for sharing your heart feelings
about yourself.
DEJIMANAIRE: We have spoken more about your career;
let’s get to know more about your life outside football. My following question
can be ridiculous, so please Abbey bear with me. (Laughter….)
DEJIMANAIRE: What else will you be if you are not a
footballer?
ABBEY: I love business… I will be a business
man.
DEJIMANAIRE:
How often do you come to Nigeria?
ABBEY: Well, I come to Nigeria once a
year.
DEJIMANAIRE:
Where are your favorite hang out spot in Nigeria?
ABBEY: I can say my favorite hang out spot
is in my house. I also like being around basket ball court.
DEJIMANAIRE: What are your hobbies?
ABBEY: I hope you won’t laugh if I tell
you my hobbies because my hobby is cooking. That’s the only thing I will say
now.
DEJIMANAIRE: What kind of music do you listen?
ABBEY: Music! I listen to music but am
more concentrated on R n B, and Hip Hop.
DEJIMANAIRE: If you had the chance to come as an
animal, what animal will you be and why? (Laugh)…
ABBEY: (Laughter)… I have no answer
because I will always come as human. Human Being are supreme.
