Beware of Fake APC Leaders in Imeko-Afon LG
Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to APC Leaders in Imeko-Afon LG stating that GNI & ADC members didn't join the party from the Local Government level.
We will like to state clearly that:
1. The statement did not emanate from genuine APC Leaders in the Local Government. Those who were mentioned to be present at the meeting are APM members who wish to return to APC but are yet to do so officially. Just as His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun expressly declared yesterday at the official welcome party for ADC Gubernatorial Candidate in the last election, Prince Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka and Her Excellency, former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaja Salmot Badru into All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun State; that any one who wish to join the party should do so openly and not through back door; it is safe to say that these impostors who claim to be APC Leaders in Imeko-Afon are the direct recipients of the Governor's statement.
2. Prince Gboyega Nosiru Isiaka (GNI) and The Believe Movement which included members of Action Democratic Congress (ADC) have been officially received at the Ward and Local Government level in Imeko-Afon Local Government by the authentic leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) led by Chief Yahaya Fadipe and the newly appointed Transition Committee Chairman of the Local Government, Chief Olusola Oke on Friday January 4th. (Pictorial Evidence available)
3. The so called APC leaders who claimed GNI didn't join the party properly at the Local Government level are truly the ones who need to do the right thing if they are serious in returning to the fold of the progressives after their purported inglorious return as announced by their Gubernatorial Candidate in the last election.
4. It is important to note that GNI and other notable leaders who honourably joined the party in a more befitting and glorious mode didn't join the party by merely addressing the press. They did so at the grassroot level and were accepted at the State level and a grand reception held in their honour, a reception that was aired live on two major TV Stations in Nigeria.
5. We will like to state clearly that as much as everyone is free to exercise their Right to Freedom of Association, our great party will not take kindly to impersonation which seems to be the objective of those who made this false statement. We therefore advise them to desist from parading themselves as leaders of APC in Imeko-Afon Local Government. As Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun is the State Leader of our great party, the newly appointed Transition Committee Chairman, Chief Olusola Oke is the leader of the Party at the Local Government level. We advise these impostors to tow the line of decency and moral by doing the needful; which is to humble themselves and officially join the party at the Ward and Local Government level.
6. Finally, let it be noted that Prince Gboyega Isiaka and his followers are now bonafide members of APC across the State and in his home Local Government, he is highly recognised and has assumed the position of a party leader by virtue of his endorsement by His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, the State Chairman Chief Sanusi and of course the National Chairman of our great party, His Excellency Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
We enjoin the public to disregard any statement, actions and activities of the following people and their followers in respect to APC in Imeko-Afon Local Government.
1. Dr. Dele Ogunsiji
2. Prince Tosin Adeluyi
3. Alhaji Gausu Bello
4. Alhaja Taiwo Olusoji
5. Hon. Dopemu Felix
It is our sincere hope and prayer that they will desist from parading themselves as not only APC members but also leaders of the party in Imeko-Afon Local government, at least until they do the right and honourable thing.
Signed
