Provide More Jobs For Our People; Majority Leader Urges Companies in Ota.

Hon. Yusuf Sheriff has urged private organisations domiciled in Ota to provide employment opportunities for his constituents. The lawmaker made the remark today when he visited Honda Manufacturing Industries Limited and De-United Foods Industries Limited in Ota.

The representative of Ado-Odo/Ota 1 State Constituency commended the Management of the two companies for adding economic value to the State and for employing youths of their host community to join their workforce. He however added that more needs to be done to gainfully engage the services of teeming unemployed youths in his constituency by private organisations that operate in Ota and it's environs.

The State Legislator equally maximised his visit to promote the Public Private Partnership Law of Ogun State. In his words, "Government alone can not fix all the infrastructural deficit in the State at once; there is the need to partner with the Private Sector to fast track development. I therefore use this opportunity to call on you to support this Government of Prince Dapo Abiodun" he said.

In their response, the management of the two companies separately pledge their support for the Government of the day. They however highlighted some of their challenges which include bad roads, poor power supply, multiple taxation amongst others.

Honourable Yusuf Sherif in a private chat with reporters reiterated his commitment to diligently serve his people through effective and qualitative representation. He said he decided to use his recess period to connect with stakeholders in his constituency in a bid to attract development and improve the welfare of his constituents.
