The Senior Pastor of Christ The Hope of Glory Church, Apostle Moses Ohuneniese has stressed the need for the Church to come to the aid of the world in a time of global pandemic like this.
The Cleric stated this while answering questions from the Press when he gave out Stimulus Package to members of his church in preparation for the Lockdown in Ogun State. He said the Church has the responsibility to provide succour for the world at this trying times. "Aside from praying, we should be able to support our people by providing relief materials to cushion the effect of the "sit at home" order by Government. Many businesses can't survive at this present time. Many homes can't cope with feeding at the moment. It is therefore important for us as a Church to come to their aid. This is what Jesus would have done, if He were to be with us" he said.
Apostle Moses gave out food items to members and nonmembers of his church on Friday evening at his church premises while ensuring strict compliance with social distancing rule.
Christ The Hope of Glory Church is renowned for charity activities. The church once gave the church offering to a woman on a Sunday service. The church also gave out Christmas gift to residents of Sango-Ijoko in 2018 and 2019. CHGC as it is popularly known is situated at Opeyemi Social Center, Ogbayo, Ijoko-Sango Ota and it's barely 2 years old.
