Faith Odunsi, a 15 year old student of Ambassadors College Ota who recently won the Global Mathematics Competition has been honoured by Ota Change Agents.
The President of Ota Change Agents, Abayomi Oke-Asiwaju on behalf of the group presented a picture frame artwork of the Mathematics Champion to her in the premises of Ambassadors College Ota. The group further inducted the young mathematician into the group as an Honourary Member.
While making the presentation, Asiwaju introduced the group to Faith, "Ota Change Agents is a group for young change agents in the city of Ota. We have quite a number of young people who are making a difference in their different endeavours and are willing to give back to the society" he said. He further added that Mercy Anih, the winner of Ogun State Governor's One Million Naira seed fund is a member including Environmentalist and Convener of Sango Clean Up, Adebayo Samuel.
Asiwaju congratulated Faith Odunsi and expressed confidence that her success story will inspire other young people in Ota to always strive for excellence in anything they do.
While responding, Faith expressed gratitude to the group for the recognition and honour. The Human Resources Manager of the School, Mr. Yomi Bajemigbe who represented the Chairman of the School, Mr. Samson Osewa commended the group for honouring Faith. In his words, "we appreciate what Ota Change Agents have come to do here today. Your gesture will serve as a motivation for not only Faith but other young people out there".
